Through the sponsorship of Rotary Clubs in Georgia, Aids Atlanta takes a team of 2-3 HIV Positive/Aids Infected individuals plus a program moderator to high schools to explain the various aspects of the disease and its transmission. |

Brookhaven Rotary has sent to the Indira Gandhi Medical Center in Himachal Pradesh, India an Echo-Cardiogram machine. The need for medical equipment in India is staggering. Brookhaven has and will continue to help. |

Each year, in conjunction with the DeKalb Rotary Council and the other DeKalb County Rotary Clubs, members visit each public school in DeKalb County and give the teachers and staff an apple in appreciation for their hard work during the year. Literature is also handed out which discusses programs operated and funded by Rotary which can assist the children. |

The members of Brookhaven Rotary are dedicated to assisting those who have helped all of us throughout the years. Every month, the members of Brookhaven Rotary hold a bingo, ice cream, and prizes night at the Wesley Woods retirement home. Fun is had by all. |

Discussions with GBI representatives have been initiated to implement a program for drug awareness in DeKalb County schools. |

The Brookhaven Rotary Club hosts it’s 5K Pound Out Polio Plus Run each year starting and ending on the beautiful Oglethorpe University Campus. The proceeds from the race assist Rotary International’s Polio Plus program in the eradication of polio worldwide. The race winds through the charming neighborhood of Brookhaven. Brookhaven Rotary assists the Salvation Army in the Salvation Army's "Kids Camp," a camp where children who are HIV Positive, and their parents, grandparents, friends and relatives can go for a day of outdoor fun and games. |
